The collection began in the Sussex area, where details were observed over time and across the seasons. Fern fronds, oak leaves, meadow flowers, seed heads, and the cracked surface of summer clay paths became the basis for a family of designs.
Design Inspiration
The designs interpret the natural surroundings rather than recreate them literally. Each design has a different role to play, with Frond Stripe bringing movement and direction, and botanical prints introducing detail through oak leaves, meadow flowers, and thistles.
Contour Lines and Summer Clay take a more abstract approach, drawing on mapped landforms and the marks of well-trodden earth to bring balance and a contemporary edge. The collection includes Woodland Toile, which introduces a more decorative, story-led element, and Woodland Linen, which provides a quieter foundation.
